They can just be walking along the street looking ahead..and Bam! Spot a queue forming over on the right, or the left hand side...the lay person never sees it coming! My favorite example of brits and germans queueing is at a ryanair bus...The brits will arrive early and form a nice line, while the germans will show up 2 minutes before the bus arrives and form a mob around where the bus door is going to be.
